What components do you have on hand? Pretty much any load from a verified source will cycle a standard 9MM handgun.

I use 3.9 of Titegroup with 115gr FMJ RN at 1.149, or 5.2 Unique with 115gr FMJ RN at 1.149. These are safe in my gun after doing a proper workup. I'm sure I could go hotter, but why...why beat up my gun for plinking/target shooting.

Like Walk said though any load in a load manual should cycle your pistol. How well, depends on which one you like when you do your workup.

The lightest I load is 3.2 grains of Bullseye under a 125gr lead TCFP. It cycles the gun reliably.

What post #3 said is the universal answer. It is what I have done for about 30 years and have had very few problems.

My favorite 9mm load is 4.4gr HP-38 under a Berry's 124gr HBRN @ 1.135 COL.

Second Favorite would be the same bullet and COL above over 4.1gr Bullseye.

Do you have a reloading manual??

Any load in there will cycle a semi-auto after you work up from the starting loads shown.

I agree with Walkalong. Pretty much any common powder and projectile combination will work in 9mm. About the only powder that might not work is a super slow burning magnum powder. Otherwise, I'd go with what's most readily available or least expensive.

I use Power Pistol for most of my 9mm loads, as it seemed to have the largest range of velocities to work with.

A mid range charge of either HS6 or Longshot will get you all you need to reliably cycle it.
