I hope this is the right thread. Several boxes of Federal GGM .308 got contaminated with chainsaw blade oil when a plastic bottle was damaged. The oil is very heavy and has been on the rounds for a couple of weeks. What should I use to clean the ammo. I do not have a tumbler--yet!
Thanks

Yep, good old hot water and dish soap. Just make sure to wipe em off with this using a rag or sponge and dont just drop em in the pan. Would be a bad way to test how well your primers were sealed ....;)

Why make such a big deal out of it. Wipe them off with some rags, dampened with a little paint thinner or similar if you want.
If it's factory loads a little bath in some bar oil won't bother them.
Even if they were reloads, done right, that oil won't get into the case.
