What's all the flap I've been reading on this forum and others about the S&W sight adjustment screwdriver? Have they become another "must buy" item?

Dug around in my gun stuff and found two of 'em. One is all steel and the other has a steel shank and bit and an aluminum handle.

The all-blued steel number is 3.35 inches long and has nine knurled rings on the handle. It came with a K-38 I bought back in late 1950's.

The aluminum handled item has eight knurled rings and measures about 3.190 inches in length. Don't remember which pistol it came with, but I think it may have accompanied a Highway Patrolman.

I can't seem to get excited about them (they are in my gun box), but I sure wish I had those guns back.

Every revolver use to come with those screwdrivers and I think they fit the sideplate screws.
