I already own a lot of guns that would be covered under Feistein bill but my question is what if one of your firearms broke to the point that it was replaced by the manufacturer yet the law states no transfer of a gun with more than 10rd capacity

if im not mistaken, so long as the SN# remains the same...the firearm doesnt need to be transferred out of your name if you are shipping it to the Manf. for repairs.

S/N is not an issue. For trace purposes, the search (by LEOs) starts at the manufacturer anyway. If Ruger had replaced S/N 1234 with S/N 2345, the search would stop there as there are no distributors between the user and the maker.

That being said, speculation on a law's fine details before it even passes is pretty pointless. ;)
