I like Ford trucks, won't buy a Chevy or Dodge due to bailout. I like Glocks too. Don't know what this post even means.

You forgot Walther, they build some really nice firearms . However, I'm a fan of Glocks and M&P's, but your right they're all kinda equal. Guess it just comes down to personal preference. I like bulky firearms, just in case it has to be turned into a club.

my point is that like trucks all guns are pretty much built the same and perform the same unless your like a kia owner and expect to put out little money and expect a good out come not naming any guns, you know what they are

Lol.... I used to sell cars.... What a PITA that was.

I really don't get emotional about cars... Or guns, as long as they work when needed.

Um no. Trucks have the same job but they are not the same build or quality.

Kia does not build trucks. What they build has low resale value. As with anything mechanical, regular pm is where value is realized. Branding has value but it is not an end all.

What was the question again?

I think the OP is saying, come on guys can't we all just get along? Or put another way, when comparing most modern, major brand firearms, there really is very little difference in quality and performance.

Quality and performance? Maybe not much difference at all. Utillity, however, is another matter. Some are better suited to specific purposes than others. Some are just made as cheaply as possible and marketed well.
