At the time of the first AWB, there were a fairly small number of that type of gun and not too many people affected. This time there are millions more guns and millions more owners who would be affected by any real "ban" effort. It was one thing to rant about "seize the evil guns" when a hundred thousand people would be afftected - it is another when the antis talk about using the Army and Marines to invade the homes of 150 million people (remember, they want to ban auto and pump shotguns and semi-auto pistols as well) and seize those weapons at gunpoint.

Might be interesting.

I hope you mean politically interesting. I don't think anyone is advocating for armed insurrection. I think that those who vote and parties of those who vote for such legislation will feel the political ramifications of that decision for years to come. We have extremely long memories. As to members of the armed forces coming to take our firearms, I don't think that will happen.

I don't foresee armed insurrection. Civil disobedience seems likely. You know, just say no.

Right on both counts, the political issue alone "Might be interesting"... but no, an armed insurrection is not likely. Always remember to "THINK" before you "ACT", use your head and don't simply react... God gave you a brain... I suggest "Use It." :)
