esheato January 5, 2013, 02:23 AM Hello,
Unfortunately, I won't be attending the Shot Shot, but I'd like to put in a request.
We had a Kestrel (weather meters) consultant stop in a while back and solicit for product improvement suggestions.
Suggestions were provided and the feedback we received was to watch at Shot Show.
To whoever is attending, could you please take a look at the Kestrel booth and pass us an update? I would appreciate it very much.
Ed

Derek Zeanah January 5, 2013, 09:56 AM We will. I'm hoping they're using the G7 projectile model in their meters so one device can serve as weather meter and ballistic computer. I'm also hoping it's easy (and fast) to use.
I kind of doubt it though.
esheato January 5, 2013, 12:53 PM Awesome. Thank you.
68wj January 7, 2013, 09:30 AM I am looking forward to info about Federal/ATK's 6.8 SPC offerings for the year.
Less optimistically, Tula said on their site that they were releasing 6.8 in 2013 too, but the lack of information makes me doubt it. They have yet to confirm or deny.
KestrelConsultant January 9, 2013, 03:24 PM Update posted.
Sheepdog1968 January 9, 2013, 11:58 PM I would love for someone to talk to Marlin to see what progress, if any, has been made in their lever action issues since hey changed manufacturing sites.
Derek Zeanah January 10, 2013, 08:35 AM Can you clue me in a bit more? What kinds of problems were they having?
Sheepdog1968 January 10, 2013, 01:18 PM Front sight and tapped reciever screws drilled off center. Poor fit and finish. Not cycling ammo properly. Bad marring of screws. A significant number of them requiring them to go back to the factory for work and often comming back no better. Last year at some point they basically stopped manufacturing most models in order to try and fix problems.
horsemen61 January 10, 2013, 04:20 PM If they introduce it there ruger's commander 1911
Mencius January 11, 2013, 11:16 AM Any chance of stopping by the Krebs booth and seeing what their new prototype looks like?
Buck Kramer January 11, 2013, 02:20 PM The new .17, and what rifles it will be chambered in.
MyTFAL January 11, 2013, 09:40 PM Taurus carbine pictures.....please
Brian Williams January 13, 2013, 10:45 AM Somebody tell taurus to put the 410 revolvers in their own category and bring back the compact frame 45s.
GW Staar January 13, 2013, 11:03 PM RCBS is announcing a new reloading press. How about a report. All we're seeing is a picture and a lot of armchair guessers!:) This is not a conventional press, so we're wondering what group of reloaders RCBS is targeting.
tarosean January 14, 2013, 01:06 AM Any info on Tavor.
Thought they were supposed to show up last year on the market and they never materialized and have not heard anything since.
Ryanxia January 14, 2013, 04:28 PM I hope you find something that's just more AR/1911 variants. I love both but they're not much to get excited about, not like something fresh.
metalart January 14, 2013, 06:38 PM I'd love some info on the new sig MPX... :)
Speedgoat January 15, 2013, 01:59 PM Winchester's booth (Rifles), Montana Rifle Co (Info on their .223 CRF Action) If somebody could document their stuff is what I'm most interested in.
COLOSHOOTR January 15, 2013, 03:47 PM Anything new from Accuracy International? I'm really interested in anything in the precision rifle category.... Thanks!
TurtlePhish January 15, 2013, 06:26 PM Think you could stop by Magpul's booth and give some first impressions of the MOE-AK grip and MOE fixed stock? Thanks!
Pacsd January 15, 2013, 09:30 PM I think Buck Kramer was refering to the new Winchester .17 Supermagnum. I too would like more info on the introduction dates and who is going to produce the gun. From what I can gather Savage will but not sure what actions will be made, ie; bolt, semi, tube, mag, etc. Any info would be appreciated.
Derek Zeanah January 15, 2013, 10:52 PM Here is what we got on Tavor at media day.

John thought it was select fire because he accidentally was bump firing it. With consistent 3 round bursts. ;)
Just One Shot January 18, 2013, 02:33 PM I would like to request that Ruger send more SR1911s to Ohio. They are releasing a Commander size and I have yet to see the full size version in any gun stores. :( I really would like to have a Commander size SR1911. :D
KTXdm9 January 19, 2013, 04:10 PM If they introduce it there ruger's commander 1911
Check out the pics post.
Kentucky-roughrider January 20, 2013, 10:05 AM Anything from Marlin and other lever action rifles
Cesiumsponge January 20, 2013, 10:12 PM Anyone get a chance to handle Sig Sauer's MPX-C or Daniel Defense's ISR? An integrally-suppressed SBR is the perfect solution for Washington residents that can purchase suppressors, but NOT SBRs.
JShirley January 22, 2013, 03:43 PM I think it feels great (http://www.shootingreviews.com/sig-sauer-conquers-the-world/). A lot lighter than a MP-5, and the pistol grip feels like one of the better AR-15s. The mag well is scalloped, so if you like to grab the well (I do) it feels niìiiìce.
