Jim, West PA January 8, 2013, 08:16 AM Anyone know if CVA Hawken sights 'll fit a T/C Seneca ?
I asked the seller and all i got was " my barrel has 13/16 flat sides".
Now i jist got a feelin that his response is 'tailored' to fit my querry 'cause i meantioned that the Seneca has 13/16 flats.
He gave no response to the placement of the screw holes (rear), or the size of the dove tail (front).

rdstrain49 January 8, 2013, 10:39 AM In my experience Hawken rear sights generally will not fit Senecas without drilling another mounting screw hole in the barrel. The Front sights have different dove tail widths. However, in a pinch you can make them work. Good luck.
Forgot to mention, the height of the sights are different so you generally can't mix and match (Hawken rear, seneca front etc.).
Zeke/PA January 8, 2013, 10:56 AM Jim,
When I made sights for my Seneca I made a rear sight base with a dovetail to accept a rear sight with elevation adjustments included.
The front sight is machined from solid brass.
I wish that I could send some photos.
1KPerDay January 8, 2013, 11:32 AM Make sure you're talking about the right CVA hawken sights... mine has "modern type" bead front and an adjustable rear. IIRC the rear dovetail insert slides into the barrel cut and then you screw the housing to it and tighten it down.
Jim, West PA January 8, 2013, 01:33 PM I should have done this to begin with. These are the sights i'm thinking of buying.
They are from a CVA Hawken. I'm wantin to find out if they'll fit my Seneca.

Jim, West PA January 8, 2013, 09:02 PM Well, i won the bidding for the sights. I was the only bid lol.
Anywho, when i git 'em i'll try 'em on my Seneca and let y'all know how it goes.
Thanx fer all yer replys.

You might could relocate a instalation hole so thet they fit your Seneca. Do you want my spare sight I posted earlier in the Picture?

Jim, West PA January 9, 2013, 07:01 AM HI d-a,
I have no doubt that i could make these sights work. But, i don't want to alter the Seneca Bbl buy drilling and tapping it. And i won't.
Forgive me but i can't recall exactly what the sight was that you posted. If it's one that'll potentialy work for me tho i am indeed interested.

I wouldnt drill the barrel either, I would drill another screw hole in the sight base that allows you to use the two screw holes already in the barrel.
The sight is the disassembled one in the bottom pic in post 17 here: http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=689943
