I am a U.S. citizen but haven't lived there for 41 years. It appears to me, that you media such as CNN are the enemy of gun owners. Appears to me that it would be more effective if you could change their attitude than Congress's. They are brainwashing the population. They mock NRA reps or "walk over" them when they try to respond to questions etc..
I'm an old dog who learned early that things are much clearer looking from the outside, in rather than looking from the inside, out.

You are 100% right, the State run/owned media is a big problem, they don't talk fact, just Agenda, i don't watch it anymore and tell others to turn that crap off...

This is true for cartridge guns. I shoot mostly blk.pdr. on the French side & belong to the gun club there. France is a republic & much more reasonable if non-military calibers. The dutch side has licensing and is in the process of making it easier to get a license.
This brings up an interesting point living on an island with two nationalities. I don't have to look at statistics to know that gun crimes are about equal for each side. So what does that tell us about the effectiveness of strict vs lenient gun laws?
