Ammo shortage affecting "rental" ranges?

It occurred to me today that "rental" ranges, particularly the ones in Vegas, which are, numerous, clumped together geographically, cater to a huge tourist trade, and emphasize a full-auto experience, might be having some big problems securing enough ammo.
Anyone have a sense of whether I'm on or off the mark with this thought?

I went to a range after Christmas and they had some hard time finding 45 ACP ammo for rental guns..

I have been getting emails from my local range saying they have ammo but so all can use they are limiting supply per visit. Nice thing about it is they only raised there price 50 cents a box and even at that it is cheaper then other store bought by alot.
