I have just acquired a Sears and Roebuck model 101.7 .410 double
in really good condition, could use a new blue job but not sure it is worth it.
I am looking for a manual I have found that it is from 1946 no serial number
does anyone have an idea where to get one?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I believe that is a Savage/Stevens 311 made for Sears.

Anyone owning a Model 311 and offered $1000 or even $600 for it should take the money and run.

Really good condition and could use a new blue job are two very diffrent statements. What do you need a manual for? It's a sxs not much read up on as far as directions go. Is reblueing worth it in short no. The lack of a serial number means it's pre 1968 and other than that it is very hard to date.
