Just a thought, might they try to restrict reloading as part of this legislation. It hasn't really entered the debate yet, perhaps because none of these folks reloaded?
If they make buying ammo online difficult, might it spill over?

most anti-gun people have no idea what reloading is....heck, most gun owners arent even aware of reloading.......

nor is it really worth the time and effort to try and pass a law that will effect such a small amount of gun owners.

for the moment, ide say reloading should be safe.

They will try to divide us. Sooner or later they will discover that somebody who committed a crime bought " 8 pounds of explosive gunpowder, and 4 thousand high explosive primers" and will impose limits on component sales. Their goal is to stop all reloading because they can't control it.

The U.N. treaty addresses ammunition manufacturing, but I don't know what extent. Yes, sooner or later someone will get creative.

If they are able to restrict ammo sales, they will also include reloading components, unfortunately.

A few years ago when there was alot of talk about guns serializing the ammunition fired in them, there was talk of limiting or eliminating reloading components.

The idea was that ammunition used in a crime could be traced back to the gun.

I do not remember any more details but do not think it cannot happen.

Fortunately, the gun technology is not there--yet.

If someone can show prior art, the patents are void and the push to require it will go away.
