I may have screwed up...

Yesterday being a cold gloomy rainy day gave me the chance to clean and fiddle with my firearms. First on the list was my AR--no problems disassembling, cleaning and reassembling. Second was my Remington 600
6mm. Anyone who has ever disassembled this rifle or has read the manual knows there is a caveat from the manufacturer about removing the barrelled action from the stock--that is--it's not recommended. Well, the expert that I am decided that I couldnt properly clean it completely unless I removed the stock. Besides the bolt release button which is hidden away on the lower lefthand inside of the receiver was becoming more and more difficult to depress and therefore to remove the bolt. Crud build up must be the culprit.

Long story short--I removed the stock from the trigger mechanism, magazine and trigger guard. As I thought the small lever intergal with the trigger mechanism which was supposed to retract in order to remove the bolt was stuck. A couple squirts of CLP and it was in working order. Dried the lever pivot and relubed was all that was needed. Easy, right!

Reassembly was somewhat dicey--one of those three handed jobs even with a gun vise. Well I finally got everything back together--the magazine and spring were the toughest to align. Once together, the bolt was easier to remove because the bolt release was easier to depress but the bolt when fully pulled back would catch on the anterior edge of the magazine follower when trying to move it back to battery. This was not a problem before my minor surgical procedure to the rifle. It does feed rounds freely and the magazine will accept and hold rounds but occasionally I must depress the follower to move the bolt into battery. This is not a huge problem but it could be in the future. I've taken it apart again and put it together but the same result. As soon as the cartridges are cycled through the action and the last one is ejected--about ever third time the bolt will hang up on the follower. Any suggestions or shouldnt I worry about this small problem I created?

Spring in backwards?

edited to add:

Magazine Spring, that is- there is a front to back difference. Or it might be upside down, or both.
