Letters from Kids on Gun Control

A little more than an hour ago the Whitehouse Youtube channel released some videos of the four school children who stood behind the president as he gave us his vision for gun control.

You can find them here:

I'll give you my summary:

Dear President Obama,

My teachers and my parents have led me to believe that guns kill people and I should be as scared of guns as I am sad about this tragedy. Please get rid of guns, even if it removes freedoms, they scare me.

My question to you is:

If your kid(s) wrote a letter, what would they say?

(Though I doubt the president would give them much thought unless the letters were in line with his agenda.)

My kids would say:

Don't take away daddy's guns, he has them to keep us safe!

Anyway, maybe we need to not just do our own letter writing, we can encourage our children (who want to) to write what is in their hearts to our representatives, etc.. Maybe if you even have a sympathetic representative, senator, or governor, then they will highlight the letters that they have received from children who haven't been taught to fear firearms!

Pertaining to this adult subject matter as well as any other adult subject matter, children's opinions don't count. I am not interested in what some child allegedly wrote about gun control, no more than I would be if their subject was birth control, liability insurance or taxes. That was all a "wallpaper" backdrop by a regime who know's the facts & the majority do not support their agenda and want's to play on people's emotions by exploiting children.

"Dear Mr. President:

Please don't take my Dad's guns. They are MINE when he kicks!

Yea, that's child abuse.

Then again, kids might do a better job of writing laws than the so called adults screwing things over now.

Yeah, I thought exactly the same thing watching this live. "We're relying on kid's opinions to write bills??" And exactly as above, letters start with "My parents told me..." so right off the bat, it's still not even a kid's opinion when asked directly! It's his/her parent's opinion. Even BO's scams look bad. I don't follow politics. But, after watching this train wreck of emotional driven action plus the total wipe out in NY, is this the norm??

"Dear Mr. President,

My mommy said I had to come on TV with you to show how I'm afraid of guns and I might not ever grow up if there are guns. Now, can I go unpause my game of Grand Theft Auto?"

Dear Mr. President:

My parents taught me how to use firearms so that I may protect myself from robbers, rapists, murderers, gangs, and street thugs, who want to kill me, and my brothers and sisters.

Using kids that way is total BS.

I'm sure they were not just parroting their liberal parents verbiage. Lets not waste a crisis when the Pro-2nd Amendment folks can be made to look like they are against school children.

Both my kids are grown. Both have been around guns their whole lives. Son is a former Marine (two tours in Iraq), Daughter is a LEO. Obama really would not want to read their letters.

What a despicable use of children as pawns to grab guns.

On another note, should we ask them to weigh in on economic and foreign policy, as well? After all, if we are going to take our policy advice from 8 year olds, no reason to stop at gun control. Free dessert for everyone!!!

I hope that Obama's use of children is a red flag to the American people. Hitler did the same thing. As long as people know their history, this only helps.

How about asking those four kids on TV how they plan to pay the $53,000 each that is their share of the natl debt? And that guy in front of them wants to borrow more for them to have to repay?
