according to the blog that's their next project. I think the locking lug would go before the feed lips though.

I would love to see some rarer mags like vz-58 on the list, too. Love how that New York senator actually thinks he can BAN this technology...

If they get cheap enough they might actually turn into throw away items. Reuse if you can, if not, no big deal...just print another!

Depending on the arm, some of them might still be easier to bend metal for, well, at least for some parts. I could see pressing the mag out, and having a follower and base printed. I also enjoyed the heck out of the AK-shovel-build.
For the more complex ones, though... yeah. Printer.

I gotta get me one of those. They'd be real handy for custom gadget enclosures and other parts...

Oh wow, I am getting a kick out of the idea that you need an insanely expensive and advanced machine to print a disposable magazine made out of plastic...
for a rifle that is designed to be made by tinkers in backyard sheds

anyone ever tried just making one out of sheetmetal?

I guess they are not all that expensive

$2,000 isn't chicken feed, but consider that a personal computer in the 1990's wasn't much cheaper than one of these. It won't be long before these are a lot more common, and a lot more useful.

I would not expect the locking tab to last long. Breaking off is supposed to be common even with factory made Tapco mags. If one could maybe embed a metal tab or even just attach with rivets the mag may be durable. I was actually looking for a way to do this with the Tapco mags.

Exactly what I was going to ask. Anybody know?
