Providing that the hand operated trigger manipulation device is only operated by the human hand, and doesn't use assistance from any electric motor, then you should be ok. I wouldn't advise trying to rig up a rubber band or spring to "aid" function. But a crank that might bump the trigger about 4 times in one crank revolution, manipulated by the human hand, should be good.

These are novelty devices, like slide-fire stocks. They may be legal but they don't really make the gun any more effective; in fact, they make it more awkward to use.

You say that like its a bad thing :)

Shooting .22LR or cast bullet 9mm reloads is really not all that much more expensive than fireworks and IMHO more fun!

Yeah, but do you know how many Hornady LNL's I had to buy and sell to get the free bullets to feed the .308 above?
