There were two different stories sorry about that.

WAVECREST — A 7-year-old boy brought a gun to a Queens elementary school Thursday morning, the NYPD said.

A handgun was found in the backpack of a 7-year-old student at a public elementary school in Queens on Thursday morning, New York City officials said, leading to a tense few hours as the school was placed on lockdown while the police made sure there was no danger.

i think you may be thinking of a different story.

"The police removed it without anyone being hurt."

Wow, I'm surprised that dangerous gun didn't kill hundreds if not thousands as it was being removed by the SWAT team. Commendations for those guys.

"The girls scared classmates met with therapists"

That's all they need. More brainwashing.

Our future looks mighty bleak.

She told police she forgot to take .22 pistol, flare gun and bullets from son's backpack after going on walk the night before.

A New York mother of four was arrested Friday after her 7-year-old son unwittingly brought an unlicensed .22-caliber semi-automatic pistol, ammunition and a flare gun to his school.

Is this possibly a deliberate attempt to challenge the law? I'll take off my tinfoil hat now, sorry. It just seems like a weird combination of things to accidentally put in your child's backpack.

Seems that NYPD cops are as dumb as the politicians they protect.

I bet those 20lb NYPD triggers are partially why there was no ND/AD :p Glad they're all safe at least.

I didn't read it but I'm real curious whether the firearm was loaded or not. Went back and read it, additional rounds would mean it was loaded I'd have to guess.
