In case I accidently had dry fired my Sig 1911-22, Will the fire pin be damaged ? Does Sig 1911-22 has a fire pin protect device likes Mark 22/45 III?

Thanks!

NO. Do not dry-fire. The FP is short enough that it won't hit the breech face but the metal quality of the FP is such that it might break hitting the FP stop in the slide.

What he said.

Dry-firing it occasionally will not dent the edge of the chamber, if that is what you are asking.

The SIG Owners manual mentions dry-firing it in at least two different places in order to check proper function of the safeties after cleaning, etc.

Just don't set around and dry fire for practice all day because the firing pin will probably eventually break.

I have put a snap caps in there and almost don't dry fire it.
