primalmu January 18, 2013, 05:17 PM You heard it, these things are awesome. 1000% improvement over the crappy stock grips on my CZ 75.
I opted for the Diamond Backs in black desert sand. These things are insanely well made and extremely comfortable.

JDGray January 18, 2013, 06:10 PM Of all the grips I've bought for my CZs, the VZs are no doubt the best!
GLI45 January 18, 2013, 06:26 PM Nice choice. I recently replaced the cocobolo grips on two of my 1911s with VZs and they are great. They look terrific and feel even better. Should have done it sooner.
primalmu January 18, 2013, 09:28 PM They really did transform the entire pistol. It feels like a whole new, comfortable beast. I might have to get more CZs so I can get more VZs. ;)

+3. 3 of my CZ's wear VZ's.
bannockburn January 19, 2013, 06:32 AM I reallt like the look of those grips. I would consider getting a pair of the Diamond Backs in Black Desert Sand for my P-01.
meanmrmustard January 19, 2013, 07:04 AM That's all my CZs wear. I prefer the Tactical Diamonds.
hAkron January 19, 2013, 07:29 AM I have them on 5 of my CZ's and I think they are excellent.

dallascj January 19, 2013, 12:29 PM Thanks for sharing the pics. I was wondering if they were thinner than the factory grips. I am thinking about getting some for my CZ75B and my Canik clones. I bought a set of fiber resin grips from designergrips that I have on my Canik C-100 (think CZ compact clone) and they really made the gun much more comfortable and concealable. I think I am partial to the VZ Frag pattern.
Primal, have you carried with the Tactical Diamond pattern? VZ says they may be uncomfortable for CC. Just wondering...
meanmrmustard January 19, 2013, 02:17 PM They're quite a bit thinner. The Tactical Diamonds aren't horrible for CC, but the Frags are a better option.
primalmu January 19, 2013, 02:24 PM No, I haven't carried my CZ75, and I don't plan to (I have a Glock 26 for that). They would be uncomfortable and would probably catch your clothing a lot. The Frag pattern would be much more suitable.
chg January 19, 2013, 03:36 PM Thanks for posting the photos. Answered most of my questions by looking at them. Only question now is color and checkering pattern of carry.

What finish is your CZ?
viking499 January 19, 2013, 05:19 PM I think the Black Cherry looks awesome on the CZ's polycoat finish.

That's what I got!!
viking499 January 19, 2013, 07:02 PM Black Cherry on PCR #1
Tiger Stripe on PCR #2
Plain Black on SA
Stock Rubbers on P-01.......no VZ's on this one since the wife likes the feel of the rubber better and this is the bedside gun.
All Tactical Diamonds. Like the feel of them better.
birdshooter January 20, 2013, 10:31 AM Very nice. Looks a lot like mine.

Arp32 January 26, 2013, 01:18 PM I was just trying to decide which kind of VZs I should get for my hipower clone (it's a Kareen with smooth grips - absolutely no texture).
Does anyone have different versions of VZs? I'm interested to hear a comparison. The simonich gunners look a little to harsh for range sessions, but I'm wondering how well the other patterns would feel after 200 rounds.
hAkron January 26, 2013, 08:38 PM They all feel the same. No real difference that I can tell.
Joe I January 27, 2013, 09:36 AM I put a set of VZ Aliens on my Dad's RIA 1911 Tactical to replace those silly smooth grips...what a difference. They're a pretty rough grip, but then again neither of us sits at a desk for a living (no offense if you do!), so they're just what the doctor ordered.
Hint: I ordered his with the relief cut to access the mag release better, and it was well worth the extra $5.
