Will Ruger P94 mags work in a P89?

I saw a 35 rounder for a P89 and I know that the 40 mags will hold 15 9mm rounds in most full sized autos....will the P89 mags work in a PC40 police carbine? I bet I could get about 20 rounds in the 35 rounder 89 prebans. It would really be cool. Do you know if the mags will interchange in the pistols?
