I have been looking for a easy to use powder lately as I realized while loading some 223 for the AR that it was quit nice to use the progressive.

So I started snooping around and realized that the H335 that I am using for the 223 can also be used in my 45/70 and according to my Speer book I should pick up some velocity. Since I am shooting a 400 grain bullet I expected more recoil, but was pleasantly surprised to feel less recoil So when day light starts to get a little longer I will try doing a little load development.

I only loaded 6 or so at the minimum charge.

I had great luck with it in my .444
Also, A1680. Both meter so very nicely, too.

No reason why it should not work well there.:) Yes let us know what your results are. BTW I buy the surplus equivalent from Pats Reloading for a lot less money in the 8 pound jugs. This is a good option if you are not putting them into storage for years as that propellant is a pull-down and not as long lived as the new canister grade that is available however.

Well, I for one don't have a very large house and have to have my tumbler in my room. Heck, our house is so small (poor grad students, cheap rent) that its a racket from anywhere in the house.

I can't decide if I want to load and shoot or go cast, But I will definitely keep working with the powder and let you all know where it goes.
