What kind of semi-automatic pistol is that?

Don't know but I wonder if they took that guy out back and shot him in the head on the spot. IMO lot to be said for that in such a blatant assasination attempt.

Seeing as how zealous the security guards were when they were stomping on him, I'd consider that a distinct possibility.

Hard to tell by the pic, but a small caliber pistol to be sure. Nothing bigger than a .25.

TV news reports that I saw stated that it was a tear gas pistol.

Looks (and performed) similar to a Raven or Jiminez.. I'm guessing .25 Auto.

Not a ROF gun....Every Raven I had would have gave him another nostril.

Does anyone know anything about a gas pistol that has been reported by numerous news outlets in this incident (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/01/19/ahmed-dogan-assassination-attempt-photo-crazed-gunman_n_2511483.html?icid=maing-grid7|maing8|dl4|sec1_lnk3%26pLid%3D259371) in Bulgaria?

The question is, were the assault shoes they were kicking him with Brogans or Wingtips?

In any case, excellent and deserving use of them.

Love the "politicians" jumping at the opportunity to kick the wanna-be assassin. Gotta take every opportunity to get in the good graces of the party boss.

1. The secret service would have nailed that guy before he even got next to the boss.

2. The secret service would not have allowed a bunch of politico-types to beat the snot out of him after the fact.

different standards i suppose.

Accounts say the "gun" was a replica tear gas pistol. They are very common in Europe.

Looked like a Beretta Tomcat to me.

Not impressed by their security, what took them so long to react!?

Looks like a Beretta Tomcat .22 or .32 to me, probably .22 and he got a bad primer, as I've never had a .32 auto round fail to fire.

Same here. My Raven, while not particularly powerful, is reliable.
