I have the opportunity to buy a Dan Wesson valor for 1500 it includes.6 Wilson combat 47d mags. It is very clean and has 2 sets of grips.

My question is are valors worth the price?

Thank you

Does anyone have any first hand experience including concerns?

I've had 2, a stainless and a duty coat. Both have been great and worth the money. They have great triggers. They also feed everything I've thrown at them. Hope this helps.

Grab it. That's a good price, especially after the fire. Word is they won't have any new guns to ship for a year or more.

I would pick it up for that price.

I really like the look of the 3 hole trigger could it be possible to replace the solid trigger?

It should be fairly easy and relatively inexpensive to swap the trigger. It is a 1911, and they are very customizable.

I've got a stainless Valor and like it just fine.
The sights hit POA with 230 gr. ammo.
I really like it that the small parts are made from tool steel.

My DW is a Heritage Razorback, not the top-of-the-line Valor, and I had an issue with the slide stop occasionally locking the slide back partway and jamming the pistol. DW paid to have it shipped back to them and supposedly fixed it, but it still did it on occasion. On the advise of this forum I polished the interior surfaces of the slide stop and have had no trouble since. I absolutely love the pistol; best trigger of any 1911 I've tried and the fit and finish is stellar. Extremely accurate as well.

I have confidence that your Valor will experience no issues and is well worth the price. Let us know and post pics!

Make sure it is not a Blemish gun. They sell a lot of them. They have small pits or defects in the finish. IIRC some have upside Y in the serial number. It is not that these guns do not run its that they are worth less and sold NIB for less.

If it not a Blem $1500 is fair not great. I have seen duty coats go for that.
