February 2, 2003 -- Iraq will unleash "thousands" of suicide attackers against the United States if American troops invade, one of Saddam Hussein's top stooges is boasting.
Vice President Taha Yassin Ramadan said in a German magazine interview yesterday that Iraq's ability to withstand U.S. military might was "unlimited" and that American ground troops would face tough resistance.

"We have no long-range missiles or bomber squadrons, but we will deploy thousands of suicide attackers," Ramadan told the weekly Der Spiegel. "These are our new weapons, and they will be used not only in Iraq."

Other Arab countries would help defend Iraq in case of war, inflaming the entire Middle East, he said. "This part of the world will become a sea of resistance and danger for the Americans." ......................................................

When pressure by other people is on, people will commit and train to do all kinds of things. When they're on their own, they start to think for themselves and break training.

While suicide may be helpful, Sadaam has trained pilots in flying aircraft loaded with chemical and biologics into things like ships and the like. The tactic may be a bit iffy going after the fleet(s) but is sure to cause some hearburn if he heads into Israel.

Yeah... Just like last time, right??? Just walk right out there, drop your weapon, and throw your hands up in the air. They are happy to get caught. At least they will have a proper place to sleep and get three squares a day as POWs.

I'm not feeling good about going into downtown Baghdad, it's going to be messy. BUT, I'm even less comfortable with Saddas staying in power, having the sanctions lifted....and then re-building his NBC programs.
