coyotes anyone

Went out to NODAK this weekend and although we had a bunch of bad weather I still managed one yote. She came in to 75yds and stopped which is where she met a 55gr Vmax to the chest. She really liked the gray fox distress playing on the e caller. I missed a red fox running away at 275-300yds and a yote running away at 350yds. Both were spotted as we were driving to calling locations.

I'll send it to ya and you can tell me what it tastes like. The fur on these western yotes is worth more than our MN song dogs.

I killed 4 coyotes in one week in mid November and hadn't seen one to shoot at for weeks. On a 90 mile drive Sunday morning I saw 4-none of which would have been legal to shoot at. The local yotes stay below ground(running the bottom of the ditches) after you shoot a few and only come out in the open after dark.

Cold weekend to be out in NoDak...I'm west of the twin cities, and it was -20, can't imagine it being a comfortable sit. Good for you though, nice 'yote!

Great pics! I love the look of that ground...looks like ideal coyote hunting territory.

I imagine there are hundreds of rabbits and quail singing your praises tonight for killing their bogie-man.

THis is mine from last week, and a mangy one right before he got the arrow earlier in the season. My area will have a contest this weekend. Usually the biggest, the most, and the mangiest all win prizes. Usually get 200 or so. I'll bet we get more this year. Its definitely an up year for coyotes!

good job. we have alot in my area. cant wait to go out. we have night hunting for 9 months of the year.

Motivated me to go get all of my stuff out of my RV. I'll sit down with it tonight and go through it with my son.
