Anyone remember that blog of hers from 2011? Many of us followed her weekly and talked about it here -

Emily Gets Her Gun: Washington, DC Reporter Buys A Handgun (http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=620014)

Well she won an award for her work back in May. And I just now noticed.

Washington Times Senior Editor for Opinion Emily Miller was awarded the Clark Mollenhoff Award for Investigative Reporting from the Institute on Political Journalism.

The Mollenhoff award was given to Ms. Miller for her “Emily Gets Her Gun” series, which ultimately resulted in review of onerous gun regulations by Washington, D.C., officials.

Good for you!

We should also thank the 'Institute On Political Journalism' for awarding her. There are award committees who would pass her by if she used a gun to save the entire District.
