I was unaware Feinstein already introduced a bill. This thread can be closed.

A bill can be introduced in any legislative session. However, members of both the House and Senate ha s indicated that there are more important things to discuss that a new AWB at the moment (fiscal problems and immigration).

I'm pretty sure one is being announced in the Senate right now. Just it's Feinstein's bill, not Obama's.

Jorg, while I appreciate the nostalgia of school house rock, I guess I should have made myself more clear.

I know the process of how a bill becomes law. I guess I was pretty much just asking if there were certain "sessions" or "periods" that new bills have to be introduced in.

It would appear not.
