Hey yall Im looking for reloading brass. I know this is prolly a hot topic right now. I scrounged around my local range (dug through the ice and snow) and only found 30 hk striped .223 rounds, I dont even know if this stuff will be good cuz of the massive dent left in the side. but i was wondering if anyone knows where I could get a few hundred casings.

Ask around or check any state gun trader forums. I had the same problem but found somone sitting on 1k spent brass that traded for some extra 9mm range ammo. I've found that with the panic on trades can be great money savers if you have an excess in one area and are short in another.

I likely have a few hundred 223 rem. to spare, they are mostly crimped primer pockets and some are LC that are re-manufactured with reamed primer pockets.

With the cost of shipping it may not be worth it ? Where are you ? Feel free to PM me.

RVA seems AWOL lately. No answer on the phone or email. Maybe just too busy, dunno.

Be patient, things will die down. No one wants to ban .223 brass, and if they ban ARs etc, .223 brass will be dirt cheap once again. I don't see it happening though. In 3 months .223 brass will be everywhere. :)

These folks have an abundance of 223 brass but will not sell it for about a week or so. May not be practical but it is interesting. Cant get the link to go direct but pick scrap metal on the left side and then hit the once fired brass banner at the bottom. All the brass you need in a lifetime. Good for a group buy or business.

God for a group buy or business.

Yeah, I was looking at the "1055 lbs of 5.56 brass stored in 19 ammo cans and wooden boxes" auction with an opening bid of $150. The pics looked good.

If I knew a few guys locally I'd get in on something like that in a heartbeat. Doesn't seem right having that melted down to make door knobs. :(

Be careful with auctions of military brass.
There may be terms that it must be demilitarized ,before leaving the property.
