OK! I have a Stevens 320 "Security model" shotgun (hey, I'm on a budget lol). I wanted to start casting slugs with one of those Lee 12 gauge slug molds. Now, I'm a bit of a noob, so pardon my stupidity. Is it safe to unrifled slugs (fairly low powered) out of a Cylinder choke barrel? I don't want this thing turning into a grenade in my hands.

Extra info. The slugs are all 1 ounce. And I'll be using the cheap target loads from Wal-mart. I'm not sure how much powder that is, but it's low brass.

Yes it is safe, if you are safe doing the reloading.

The Lee slug is way smaller then a 12 ga bore.
It is small enough to fit inside a standard plastic shot cup.
