My wife just got her fathers black powder pistols.

One is a Richard Arms 1851 Navy .44, Made in Italy. Is any one familiar with these? Is richard arms the importer and then made by who? I don't think it has ever been fired.

Richland Arms imported several black powder guns. I have a remmie repro marked Richland Arms and also marked Palmetto Arms. Palmetto made black powder guns in Italy. They made some crap and some top end stuff depending on what the importer wanted.

I had a very nice '58 Remington Richland Arms...nice petite grips. I let my best friend talk me out of it...

Could be, Richland Arms did import some Piettas. If I recall correctly, most of them I've seen have been Piettas.

ASM, Armi San Marco often marked theirs under the loading lever, where a lot of folks forget to look
