It isn't going to pass in it's current form, the article is pretty specific.
The reality, as these and many other lawmakers recognize, is that piling on new laws won’t solve the problem. In fact, The Washington Times’ analysis of recent state laws shows “no discernible correlation between stricter rules and lower gun-crime rates in the states.” It’s time our leaders used reason—not emotion—to guide their legislative endeavors

I totally agree - they're definitely not going to get all of what they want. Not that it's impossible, but I'm far more worried about what'll be "compromised." Or a way of putting it to better reflect the truth... where concessions are made.

That's pretty unlikely, 2/3rds or more of gun owners probably aren't even active shooters, more than that don't own an AR. And a huge majority of Americans, gun owners or not, don't want to go to jail.

But on to Question 47, addressed to those with a gun in their home: "If the government passed a law to take your guns, would you give up your guns or defy the law and keep your guns?"

The response: 65 percent reported they would "defy the law." That incudes 70 percent of Republicans, 68 percent of conservatives, 52 percent of Democrats and 59 percent of liberals.

"If the government passed a law to take your guns, would you give up your guns or defy the law and keep your guns?"

TAKE YOUR GUNS ... so the question assume that the government would ban the guns. Currently they are talking ARs and not much else - hence, the 2/3 number is only AR owners....

pretty bad when 1 in 3 would roll over because they are told to.

That's better than I thought, many of these are family guys with city and govt jobs that they would risk if they didn't surrender them, which still leaves us in good shape. IMO

when you can eliminate 33% of your enemy by a simple threat you have them at your will already.

What makes you guys think they are only after ARs? Semi-automatic bans. Also, they consider many other guns "assault weapons". I have a Mini-14 with a folding stock, fore-grip, etc. Considered an evil AW. Yeah, it would suck if they banned them. It doesn't matter if they confiscate or not. We'd never be able to shoot them for recreation again. I realize the guns are important for defense(more so than recreation)but either way a ban would have a huge effect on my and other gun-owners lives.

Two-Thirds of American Gun Owners Would “Defy” a Federal Gun Ban

Only two-thirds? That verges on disappointing. As far as defying national gun laws (www.smallarmssurvey.org/fileadmin/docs/A-Yearbook/2007/en/Small-Arms-Survey-2007-Chapter-02-annexe-1-EN.pdf#page=2), even the Germans (72%) and French (84%) would be ahead of us.
