I'm an avide hunter and have recently bought a Tikka t3 light and was wondering what I can do to make it less glossy?

I used that non-sticky camo wrap on a 700 BDL for years with zero problems....then one time it left my barrel striped like a barber pole....ruined the nice high gloss finish.

Rattle can the barrel with cheap flat black paint. You will do no permanent damage. You can wipe it off with thinner later.

Had the same problem with my Ruger 77, .223 coyote rifle. Took it to my gunsmith. He glass beaded the barrel, parkerized it, or something. I don't know exactly what he did, but it now wears a beautifully uniform dull matte finish.
