The Hodgdon Online Reloading center only lists a maximum load of 44.7 for 150gr bullets, and 41.1 for 180 gr. I'm trying to work up a load for 174gr BTHP's and I'd like the lowest starting point I can get. Does anyone have data from another manual for this?

How strange, they show starting loads with other powders but not 4064.
I'd make the traditional 10% reduction and shoot it with 37-38 grains.

The Hornady 8th edition lists a starting load of 32.8 g. of IMR 4064 with the 150 g. bullet (41.5 max) and a starting load of 31.4 g with a 174 g. bullet (max 39.3). Thde rifle used for these loads is an Enfield #4 Mark 2, 25.25" barrel.

Interesting. I love how different manufactures come up with different max loadings. In this case almost a grain difference at the heavy end and over THREE grains different for the 150s.

Anyway, I put together a batch going from 36 to 40.5 in .5 grain increments. I'll keep an eye on pressure signs as I get closer to 39.

Thanks!
