Some 11-87 shotguns have a barrel seal activator in the gas system.
11-87 Super Magnum is one.
For heavy loads one removes the activator. For lighter loads one puts it back.
I have 2 questions:
1. How does it work? By funneling more gas or by relieving/applying
some tension so that the gun is easier to cycle? Or some other
principle?
2. Can anyone just install this part on any 11-87 to make it
reliably cycle lighter loads? It's just a $7.85 part...
