Never had any worry with my Kahr P380 from target loads thru to Buffalo Bore loads, except of one hollow point that it just didn't like. I settled with Speer GoldDot Short Barrel load.

I've never been a fan of plastic sights.

Jerry, do you have personal experience with them or do you just not like them?

My p380 has been 100%. I haven't gotten past the 1000 round mark yet, but I've probably put 500+ through it. I've owned 5 KAHRs over the years and have never had one malfunction with any of them. I will say this though; when I cleaned and lubed them before I took them to the range the first time, they had more dust and machining debris in them than I have ever seen from any factory. This may be the reason some experience a "break in" period.

I tried the Kel-tec, Ruger, and KAHR 380's when I was looking to buy one a few years ago. The KAHR was definitely worth the extra money.

Why would you want a weaker cartridge in the same size gun?

Kahr doesn't make a 9mm in the same size package as the .380. This new issue is just a less expensive version of the P380. I carry the P380 when I can't carry a larger pistol. I've never had a reliability issue after initial break in. I have shot other small .380s. The Kahr is the best of the bunch in my opinion. Best trigger, best sights, best recoil control.

Ok, I thought it was in the CW size.

By the way, have you shot a P238? I have shot both and in my opinion the P238 is by far the best pocket 380.

New pistol with advertising out way ahead of the pistols . You may not see any in a gun shop for soeme time. Order one and wait , and wait , and

Same thing happens with every new I got have it firearm. Because of price this kahr will sell way beyound its production amount and probably do it for the next year.

kokapelli yep the p238 is great if an extenal safety and a single action for a pocket sized gun is your want or need. For some of us it just another choice among many. no better no worse than others. And yes I have shot one!!

Gun has worked well and is unbelievably easy to conceal. I use Corbon 90 grain JHP with no problems. I have ~1000 rounds through the pistol.

This really depends on what value you assign to various attributes. I'd agree the P238/Mustangs are the best shooters. In my experience the mustangs have had better triggers, but in stock trim the sigs have better sights, and it is probably cheaper to tune the trigger on the sig than to add better sights to the colt.

No availability means little to talk about. If one shows up near me I'll buy on sight as I'm lacking a lightweight pocket pistol.

The 238 isn't anywhere close to the size & weight of the LCP, P3at or Kahr .380's.

It's closer in size to the Kahr PM9/CM9.....both 9mm's. In your own words "Why would you want a weaker cartridge in the same size gun?":scrutiny:

For a pocket pistol, it violates John Brownings belief that pocket pistols shouldn't have an exposed hammer.

Yes I have a PM9 and the P238 pocket carries much more comfortably than the PM9.

I also own a P3AT, Micro Desert Eagle, Taurus TCP and have owned an NAA Guardian, P32 and a Berretta Tomcat and the P238 pocket carries better than the NAA, Micro Deser Eagle or the Barretta and shoots better than any of them.

The Kahr P380 is REALLY small....LGS has one and I don't know how I would hold onto it if I fired one.

To Rubber duck, My wife carries a p380. She loves it. I have the biggest ham hands you have ever seen but I can shoot that little thing all day
