I picked this up from J&G Sales in November, intending to use it to learn a few new gunsmithing skills.

I stripped it down completely and refinished it in Moly Resin, cut the slide for Novak sights (the scariest part of this project), removed the magazine disconnect, de-humped and polished the feed ramp, and installed an ambi safety from Cylinder & Slide.

If it shoots as nice as it looks... you did yourself proud Jesse. As much as I like the stock grips for feel, that gun may deserve some swankier grips... ya' think? ;)

Beautiful! May I ask what you used as a replacement safety? I have an FM-Highpower that I am thinking of replacing the hard to use safety knob with a cylinder and slide extended safety. I like the one you used - is it the same one?

Yep, that's the Cylinder and Slide extended ambi safety.

Honestly though, I think I'd prefer a stock FN Hi-Power MkIII ambi safety - if I could actually find one.
