Cleaning up some 22-250 brass and ran across the 3 pieces of FC brass with oversized necks. The inside of necks on these 3 cases measure .254 (too large for a .243 and too small for a .257 caliber). Could this becaused by an oversized chamber in the 22-250 they were shot in or is there another round that could use a 22-250 cartridge with an enlarged neck?

Were these range pick-ups? If we knew how/where you got them it might help solve the mystery.

also, diameter at the base (rim and in front of the extractor groove) and the shoulder. How about cartridge length? If somebody fired them out of the wrong chambering the blown-out dimensions would be a clue.
