hatfields

Does anyone have a clue where I could find a new or secondhand paper "Hatfield" logo that adorned the inside top-half of the hardcase (which the guns came with)? Just a compulsive/a. retentive habit to make things whole. I purchased my Hatfield on the used market, and it was already missing the paper logo (which was apparently glued on to the felt liner) upon my receipt of the gun.

Any help would be appreciated.

??? Hatfield's, as in St Jo, Missouri?.....or the son who went out on his own to build custom Blackpowder rifles?

I am assuming you mean the Hatfield shotguns that went on to later be made in Turkey? You might contact them in St. Joseph, MO

I believe Hatfield's the sporting goods store closed about a year ago. Was there many times, like a old time Cabela's with taxidermy, guns, and more. The stuffed Anaconda that was wrapped around the rafters, pretty impressive.

Here's an interesting article on Ted Hatfield, the gun builder. His firearms were simply works of art.

I believe the higher grades had a leather or simulated leather label like that above, and I don't remember what the "paper" labels looked like. Try to find and old ad or a picture like the one above taken from straight on and you can make your own with a modern printer. Someone good at Photoshop could get there with the above picture. Heck, with 3D you can even have the embossing.
