Is the 8mm round used in the Rast/Gasser (Revolver) of Austria (used in WWI and WWII) the same round as the 32 ACP?

The 8mm equal to .314 inches and the 32 most often is .31 to .313. I want to shoot the 32 out of the 8mm barrel. I have to admit we gave it a trial run and it works. However, I would like to know did they actually mfg ammo that late for the 8mm with the 32 so in use at the same time with the mauser and bretta 1934's?
