That looks like a handful. Can my new gun come out and play too? (S&W 610-1)

Looking good. i want a Mountain gun or a Ruger Alaskan - just for a walk in the woods gun.

Mountain gun is an apt name. That light barrel is what's needed when hiking in the mountains. I tried carrying an m58 .41 in Colorado - whew!

That's a beauty you have there - congratulations.

That'll leave a big hole! I like it. Great choice. I've only ever owned 357 revolvers. I've always wanted to make the jump to the 44. Very nice sidearm.

Yep. Between gift certificates and points it was on this side of inexpensive.

Those mountain guns are pretty neat in any caliber IMO.

Nice gun.
I have a 629-6 (lock/MIM gun) and a couple 629-4's MG's (last of the pre MIM/no lock guns).
All of them had cylinder throats that pin gauged around .427", too tight and wouldn't shoot cast bullets for crap. I finished reamed them to .4315" with a Manson reamer and the problem was solved.
I'm curious if your revolver has this problem. Let us know how it shoots with cast bullets.

Excellent purchase. Never had a .44 mag, .357 is the largest I've gone in a revolver (have .45 auto of course for the car gun). Just picked up a Ruger GP 100 .357 4" stainless as the hunting sidearm/woods carry. Can't wait to shoot it.
