This looks pretty exciting. For $47.00 I'll give one a try (they have already moved the coming soon date back since I became aware that these were back on the market).

FA's website has them in stock, but doesn't mention if they are the redesigned version, and they are like $75 if you get them there.

Does anybody have any knowledge about the original FA Vibra Prime? Or any info/thoughts on this new one?

I've had the notification turned on from midway for a couple months now. I'll buy one at $50.

The original gets high praise, so I expect the redesign to be better.

I might break down and buy one for $75 if Midway doesn't get them soon...still WAY cheaper then the Dillon. Why did the stop making the original one?

i still have a couple of the originals. they work great. Well at least work better then anything else ive tried. I even bought the 300 dollar dillon unit and sent that pos back. the 30 dollar fa unit worked much better then the dillon.

I had one that like Lloyd said was better than anything else I had. Once they quit making them and people were paying stupid money for them I sold mine for $120 more than I paid for it and bought a Dillon. I wouldn't trade the Dillon for a pile of the vibraprimes but at $50 they are worth it.

No surprise there. I'm sure a lot of folks had a notification in on that.

They changed the expected date to May 12 yesterday. Then they were in stock this morning. The folks that ordered them, that I have read about, didn't receive the notice from midway but from Internet threads.

The first "in stock" threads were around 10 and they were sold out around 12:30. I got a couple to see what they changed in the design.

Wish I'd bought five, back when I bought mine for about $20! Also wish I'd bought about 10 of their primer tubes. First thing you do is remove those cheesy, plastic bayonet connections and just hold the tube up into the body.

Mine's been working for thousands of rounds now. I'm getting a dealer account from Midway. Might buy a few, when I see what the dealer price is.

These guys still have four in stock:

My vibraprime arrived from JG Sales today (Thanks to GT1 for the heads up!). I filled one tube to test and it worked great. I'll try to throw together a video if anybody has interest.

Here you go...Youtube took out my sound track because of copyright issues...so when you watch it, play your own copy of "Elvis Costello - Pump it Up", or at least hum it.

You don't have to shake it like I was doing in the video, just tilting it around does a better job. I just didn't know what I was doing.

Awesome.

I got mine in today too but it will be a while before I get to use it. I did finger it all up looking it over. :p

Took you 9 seconds to get 100 into the tube, nice.

GT1 - It was a little faster once I got the hang of it. You have to keep your wits about you though. Lots of ways to fling primers all over the room. Dillon Primer tubes work the best because the pickup cap pops off. The tubes like you might use on a Hornady or an RCBS (non APS strip) or a lyman have that tricky glued in cap, but if you have two of them, you fill the Frankford tube, then dump into the top of one of your primer tubes, but now they are upside down from how you want them to be, so then you dump that tube into your 2nd tube...
Optionally you could fill the built in Frankford Arsenal tube, and then transfer that right into your press. It fills up quick enough that having additional pickup tubes might be superflous.

I'm in love. Mine came in today from Midway, and I chamfered the transfer tube where it meets the pistol grip (the black plastic tip), and went to town.

After hand-picking up primers forever, this tool is a wonder. Yes, it can get stuck. But when it works right, its a dream.

Really nice. Its not the heaviest of construction, so you have to be careful not to break the plastic bits, but what a timesaver...

Where has this thing been all my life? I may order another as a spare...

I filled up all of my primer tubes (I think I have 10) which took a little bit of time because I was getting the hang of things, but I really love it. If it ever breaks, then maybe I'll get a Dillon Unit, but for $45, I could break 8 of them and still be money ahead.
