I'm sure this must have been covered before but I'm fairly new here,so here goes. The one time I bought aftermarket mags I bought 10 rounders from cheaper than dirt. They were made by usa mags and were pure garbadge (for my mini 14) So my question is are there any good, reliable, robust aftermarket mags out there? thanks, Mike

Yes.
Mec-Gar: good all around. IIRC they are OEM for all Sig factory mags.
PMI: no longer in business but great for pre-ban Mini-14 mags. Again IIRC they were OEM for Ruger's pre-ban mags.
"Premium 1911-house": Wilson Combat, Ed Brown, etc. for the 1911.
All the others, you roll the dice. Some will work and some will not. I have a Pro-Mag 15 round mag for my Sig P226 (came free with the gun) which works perfectly; some of my friends have Pro-Mag magazines that are junk.

I don't think there's much "rolling the dice" with USA magazines. They are pretty consistent. Consistently bad...
