Dickies work shirts are fairly inexpensive at Walmart. Solid colors in black, mechanic blue, tan & grey.

Just got the new Sportsman's Guide military surplus catalogue. They have some Under Amour button down tactical shirts you may be interested in. I thought of this post when I saw them.

what i have found is that button up shirts are great but also zipper hoodies. i carry IWB and I manage to conceal my G21 quite well with a button up shirt or a zip-up hoodie.

CCWbreakaways.com, they make pants with the holsters built in. Cargo, Jeans, and Kahakis.

I have a lot of concealment shirts. Anything with a square tail (so it looks good untucked... I don't walk around with an untucked "shirt-tail" type shirt, that looks poor) works well.

Most of these are called something like a "Camp Shirt" or Guayabera. Many clothing manufactures make a square-tailed shirt like that. Almost all of what you'd think of as "Hawaiian" or Magnum P.I. type shirts are like that.

5.11 and some of the "tactical" clothing makers do, too. My nicest three are from the old EoTach line and they closed with a hidden zipper. All the buttons on the front were just for show!

But by far the most shirts I have of this style are the many I picked up at the local Goodwill type store for $1-$3 each. They're mostly prints (form mild to wild) and at my local shop they sort shirts by color so you can pretty easily figure what might look good with your wardrobe, and hide a gun well.

I find that I have to be careful wearing the shoulder rig in weather that is cool enough to not look odd with a cover shirt, because spring and fall are often windy. I have to make sure it doesn't blow open.

I like a lot of the shirts in the Cabela's catalog in the casual wear section. Flannel and chamois. Cuffs unbuttoned and rolled twice. I not only don't like button-down shirts that have short sleeves, I actually seek out long-sleeved t-shirts too. I find if I get an oversize long-sleeve t-shirt, it is always loose enough to easily conceal an IWB without printing and doesn't look good.

("Homer, you shouldn't wear a tie with short sleeves."

"Why not? Detective Sippowicz does!"

That's how I feel about short sleeves in general. Perhaps I'm just becoming a fogie.)

Here in West Texas, my normal concealment shirt is a t-shirt. Though I do occasionally wear snap button work shirts or western style snap button dress shirts. Either of the latter can be had at almost any western wear store. Or try going to the links below. I'm not a small guy by any means, and these work very very well, and are quite comfortable.

Im from Ohio,so im not really worried about concealment.Being an OC state,we dont open carry enough in my opinion.I was really lookin for a automotive or motorcycle themed button up.But those shirts will do.I was surprised that not more shirts are available, definitely not in my hefty size

Lots of Hawaiian-type shirts with car designs out there. My wife just bought me a Corvette-themed one for my birthday - can't afford a Corvette right now but at least I have the shirt! I use them for concealment and just because I like them. Gotta love Aloha Friday at work.

Here's the one she bought me: http://www.amazon.com/Corvette-Hawaiian-Shirt-David-Carey/dp/B009AY94KO/ref=sr_1_2?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1368093901&sr=1-2&keywords=corvette+hawaiian+shirt

For me, the best way is to go to is to buy from thrift stores: button down outer shirt that the wife removes buttons from, and sews on three small sections of velcro. Same for cuffs if going with long sleeves. She then sews a small fishing weight into a small pocket into the bottom near the front right side; this helps when flipping back the now opened shirt to help with the draw stroke. I always buy an outer shirt that is one size larger than the t-shirt size I keep tucked in, and choose printed patterns that help break up the outline of what is hidden underneath. I avoid any "tactical" outer clothing when not at the firing range, and like the modified shirts because they can hide a carry rig with belt, holster, reload, and flashlight easily.

I like the Cuban old man's shirts. They are loose and a little baggy, drop down low on the hips and usually have 4 pockets. Google guayabera shirts, they are really comfortable. Have a friend of mine on the Miami PD that gets them for me. Also you can hide a cannon under them> LOL
