Does anyone know if I can send my AR15 MOE lower handgard in and have the rubber molding added?

If not does anyone know of a company that would do something like this.

I am aware of the Hogue AR15 handguard but do not like it.

As for the bedliner idea No thank you I like the grip that the rubber surface provides.

I have hogue funiture (handguards and pistol grip) on my AK and love it.

Very unlikely Hogue is going to do anything to a Magpul handguard.

The overmolding is applied in a large injection molding machine to an undersize Hogue hardguard.

Anything else would not fit in the mold.

Go to a hardware and buy a can of Plastidip used for coating tool handles and a cheap paint brush to apply it with.

Does that Plastidip stuff adhere at all? I thought it's removable when applied to non-porous surfaces, but if there's an adhesive version that'd be a great way to add a "comfy" surface that's also fairly durable. Bed liner would probably work too, but don't those usually come with stuff imbedded in them? (ow!)

if you look at a video of plasti dip being removed from cars painted with it, you will see that it is "removable" just like tape is. You actually gotta peel it off...its not just gonna fall off.

Cool, I'd always thought of it as a semi-temporary solution that would need to be reapplied occaisionally--kind of an annoyance for something with the expected longevity of a firearm. I'll have to try it for the grip/cheek surfaces of a fiber-composite stock I'm working on to make it a touch more comfy :cool:
