Hello,
Does Springfield make a model like the range officer with Novak style sights?

I want the full size with Range Officer features, no rail, no front cocking serrations.

Any thoughts?
Thanks
Dan

Look at the Loaded. The Range Officer was set up around having the adjustable sights. While a very nice package, the Loaded will have everything the Range Officer has but Novac sights. and a few other features.

Oops.. missed the front cocking serrations. I have a Ultra Compact Loaded and no serrations.

Thanks Greg,
I am leaning towards the Loaded, I just with the serrations were not there.
I don't like the look.

A lot of guys are buying the Range Officer and swapping out the sights. The RO was supposed to target the competition shooter, not the carry crowd.
The loaded model will have ambi thumb safety also. Which unless your a lefty, isn't desirable in a carry gun. If your looking for fixed sights, why not look at another manufacturer like Colt or STI.

I actually like front cocking serrations for my comp guns. I always find myself grabbing the front of the slide when I have to show ''clear'' to the RO.

Are the sight cuts in the Range officer standard cuts?
Is it that simple, buy a set of Novaks and swap them out?

Check Dawson Precision and 10-8 Performance for Novak-cut sights. I'm sure a phone call to either one will answer your question.

Added: Harris Custom for sights too.

They are standard cuts for LPA adjustable sights, but not Novak fixed sights.

Harrison Custom is one of the few making a fixed sight for that cut.

I don't care for adjustable sights on a 1911. While I'm sure the Harrison fixed sight works great, I think it looks terrible. Of course, I don't think anybody could make a fixed sight to fit those slide cuts that would look good. I'd just buy a fixed sight gun. There are many options available.

I HATE to say it.. but yeah you might need to look at a different company.. I was just looking at the STI Spartan, but have to say the cast in BILLBOARD of "Spartan" is worse than the front cocking serrations.
