Milkbus February 17, 2013, 09:50 AM That is a huge difference in power. A .380 could be pocket carried, but IMHO the Thunder 380 is a bit heavy for the front pocket. The Thunder .45 UC is definitely not going in a pocket and will have a major stopping power advantage over the .380. Why not look at their .40 or 9mm? Same size as the .45 with higher capacities. zerofournine February 17, 2013, 10:42 AM I have the 45 UC and two Bersa 380's. I have never had a ftf or fte from any of the three, so I trust them to be dependable carry pistols. The 45 is a bit too wide for me to carry comfortably, but that is personal preference really. I would carry, and have carried the 380 without hesitation. My wife packs one in her purse. Someday I plan on getting the conceal carry model, and it will be my Sunday carry. Trad Archer February 17, 2013, 07:41 PM I have the UCPro in 40........love it.......10+1 Snowdog February 17, 2013, 07:42 PM I bought a Bersa UC9 Pro on a lark a few years ago and am still tickled pink by it. It's one of the very few handguns I've owned that skipped the whole break-in period; it was reliable from round one. I understand many among us think of .380acp when they think Bersa, however the 9mm, .40S&W and .45acp Thunder UC and HC models represent one heck of a value and bring more to the table, IMO. Though the UC (ultra compact) nomenclature is a bit deceiving, it is still very much a compact, being about the size of a Cz-82. https://farm3.staticflickr.com/2569/4097532425_c64559c135_z.jpg Airbrush Artist February 17, 2013, 09:03 PM Great point Snow dog,The focus is on the 380 ,I thought why not look at a Higher caliber ..in the Bersa line .gonna do some more homework on the .40 &.45 ...Thank You all Dean1818 February 18, 2013, 05:24 AM I had a UC40. Decent gun but it is too thick for comfortable IWB carry Imho Nasty February 18, 2013, 04:07 PM +2 for the UC series...I carry a stainless 45 UC myself and have not had a single issue in hundreds of thousands of rounds (I used to have unlimited ammo running the base range). I see no reason for the .380 in today's market with small 45's and tiny 9mm's available. schnarrgj February 18, 2013, 07:13 PM Have both the 45UC and the BT380. Like everyone else, after a number of thousand rounds through each, not one problem. Well one. After adjusting the rear sight, I didn't lock the screw and the blade fell off. Called the service center and had another blade for the BT380 in a few days. Right now I the BT380 on my belt. Love them both and carry them both. I vary my carry depending on where I am going, time of year and phase of the moon.:D My wife carries the BT380. She loves it. WCraven February 18, 2013, 07:54 PM For the 380/9mm/40/45 it going be hard to beat Kahr CW line..
