Marvel Unit 2 or TS 2211?

Help me decide. $ not a real concern, all fall in my budget. I want it all though: Ability to fit holsters for 1911, ability to digest ALL ammo types (or as close to as possible), accurate. Ability to fit multiple caliber frames a plus. Last shot hold open not really that critical. I've previously owned a Ciener "match" conversion, and while I liked it, it wasn't all that acurate, but it did eat just about everything. So I've narrowed it down to these two, just can't see any real advantage one or the other.

If you want better accuracy, Marvel 1.

From everything that I've read, the Marvel Unit 1 offers the best accuracy of any conversion unit on the market.

The Unit 1 was a consideration, but from what I've heard it was real picky about the ammo as it comes set for std vel ammo and you can re-spring it for hv but then you have to re-re-spring it for std. I guess I don't need bullseye accuracy from it, although if it was as accurate as the host gun it would be great. I did wind up buying the TS unit, I guess because it was made of steel not aluminum. I should have flipped a coin.

My Marvel .22 upper (don't know which model, I think they only offered one when I purcased it years ago) came with a test target of what I remember to be FIFTY rds. into .75" @ 50 yds.
It IS quite accurate. It WILL NOT FIT a standard 5" 1911 holster.

What types of ammo does it NOT eat? For instance, I know they recomend CCI Blazer but can you shoot CCI Stingers? One reviewer said it worked with the 500 round brick but not the 550 round bult pack of the Blazers, go figure.

Marvel Unit 1 will shoot CCI SV to astonishing accuracy at 50 yards. Marvel unit 2 and Advantage Arms, and all the other conversions I am familiar with generally like high velocity ammo and shoot to decent accuracy at 25 yards but nothing special.

If you can save up to afford the unit 1, it's worth it for the accuracy and CCI SV will be available again and cheap. Maybe not quite as cheap as minimags, but a few cents is worth it (to me) for accuracy. Heck, Eley Sport, which I don't know will work in a Marvel 1 but is a SV round is $3.27/box when it comes back in stock.

I looked at getting a Marvel 1 a couple of years ago but they were always out of stock and were on back order for way too long for my purposes. So I got a TacSol convesion and have been very satisfied with my decision. I put it on an old Essex frame that I had put together some years before. Fit, finish, and function of the TacSol unit are great and the other thing I like about it is that the magazines are made out of aluminum instead of plastic.
