I have some BX-25 X2 that I want to sell on Gunbroker and am wondering which states can I not ship these magazines to? I want to make sure I stay legal and everything I'm finding is from 2011. Anyone have an updated list of the ban states?

The ones that I am aware of are:

- CA
- HI
- MA
- MD
- NJ
- NY

also DC

BUT... you also got a number of States with Bills on the table or even passed committee or house AND you got local municipalities that have their own AWB's.

None, actually. In some states it is illegal to import magazines into. One state cannot make an action illegal outside that state. For example, California cannot prosecute a Nevada resident for shipping a high capacity magazine into California from Nevada because California laws cannot reach into Nevada to make an action taken by a Nevada resident illegal in Nevada.

Now....one state could negotiate with another state for extradition if they can convince the second state that someone in the second state was part of a conspiracy with someone in the first state. So, California might convince Nevada to extradite a Nevada resident to California for conspiring with a California resident to knowingly enable the California resident to violate California law - only if Nevada agrees.

I can't speak for other states, but for the moment in CA any magazine you can break down is no longer legally a magazine. So you can legally send standard capacity mags here as kits (i feel it necessary to restate it is legal FOR THE MOMENT).

On most auctions people will put "know your states laws only bid if your able to legally own." That's what I do for my magazines as well I turn around and sell. That deturs some away, but you always have a few knuckleheads that push the envelope.
