Hey y'all,

I'm looking to get some things done to my 1911 - namely trigger work - and am looking for a reputable 'smith.

Any suggestions?

That aren't months out on projects?

Thanks.

Contact Dietrich Gunsmithy in Otis, ME perhaps.

Look at what he did for wc145's slick little Colt 1991-A1 Compact

Larry from Larrys Guns in Gray is a top class Bullseye shooter. He probably knows a good 1911 trigger guy.

Thanks folks - both of those seem like a good place to start.

Baba - I didn't need to see that thread though - as while I really like my RIA 1911, the billboard rollmark is not the most aesthetically pleasing.

Yes, call Dietrichs, they do top notch work. They've done action and custom work on a number of 1911s and revolvers for me and I have been thoroughly pleased with every one. In fact, they're working on a Colt .38 Super and an old S&W M10 PPC gun for me now.
