I got 5 pounds of it, actually wanted the bricks of small primers that were part of the deal, except, at the price for the lot, the powder was very inexpensive

I'm pretty sure it's a 223 powder
only problem is I don't have one,
will it work for 6.5x55 or .270, or 7.62x39? pistol loads??

I've used it to develop 223 loads many years ago. Never tried 7.62 x 39 with it.

I've seen people have success loading .30 carbine, .222 and the 17 caliber stuff. I'm not sure about using it in those larger calibers.

Right now anything that can be used to load 5.56/223 will sell quickly. I'm sure you could find a buyer locally.

Works pretty good in 308 and I'm sure anything else in between 223 and 308. NOT a pistol powder by any means. I've only used it in 223 and 308. Just about as good as anything in that general range on the burn rate charts IMO.

If you go to Accurate Powder's website, you can download their load guide. It's pretty easy to flip through and see which cartridges are appropriate for use with which of their powders.

Here's a link for ya. (http://www.accuratepowder.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/accurate_load_data_3.5.pdf)

I like the stuff in an AR in 7.62x39 with 150gr lead.
Have fun,
Gene
